Support > Autosentence Linking

An interesting feature of Marker's Black Box is the option to include the automatic linking of sentences. To make text flow more smoothly, writers use link words that tie sentences togerther, such as "however", "by comprison", "equally", and so on. The application makes a note of the sequence of marks given for each criteria and can select a link word on the basis of whether the subsequent mark is higher than, less than, or equal to, the previous mark. For example, if the mark rises, the term "In spite of this" is appropriate, and if the mark is the same, the term "In addition to this" is appropriate.

The frequency of the use of autosentence linking can be adjusted, from every remark pair to 1 in 10 remark pairs. Autosentence linking can be turned on or off at any time, even after all of the reamrks have been selected.

Example:

Remark for criteria 1 might be: "The title is very good and makes the focus of the study reasonably clear."

Remark for criteria 2 might be: "The abstract could be much clearer than it is."

Linked result; "The title is very good and makes the focus of the study reasonably clear. In comparison, the abstract could be much clearer than it is."
